Janet Frank Chudnow (Hanna), 85, of Coconut Creek, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 22, 1940, to the late Harry and Esther Frank, Janet was a woman of extraordinary strength, creativity, and deep devotion to her family and faith.

A graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School who also attended art school, Janet expressed her vibrant spirit through art, writing, cooking, and fashion. Throughout her life, she worked as an art teacher, an activity coordinator for senior living, and a certified nursing assistant. She also generously volunteered as a theater usher and was an active member of Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek.

Above all, Janet was a true survivor and fighter.

Widowed at age 30, she raised four young children independently with unwavering love, grace, and resilience. Years later, she faced a severe breast cancer diagnosis with remarkable courage, remaining strong and vibrant for decades. Janet’s warmth, humor, and joy for life touched everyone she met.

Janet was the loving wife of the late Stanley Chudnow, to whom she was married for 10 years before his passing in 1970.

She is survived by her adored children: Wendy Hockman (Steve), Bonnie Liroff, Robin Chudnow Marsh (Gary), and Craig Chudnow; her cherished grandchildren: Staci, Brandon, Chelsea, Shaylee, Skylar, Troy, Alexandria, Joshua, and Jaden; five adored great-grandchildren; and her beloved sister, Carole Kaplan. She also leaves behind her niece, Hollie and Wayne Nickerson, along with Jake and Sydney, and her nephew, Stu Kaplan.
