There are many types of funeral services. Within these types, several options exist that help express and honor a loved one's life.

Traditional Funeral Service
A service of this type would involve a full casket with the body present for services, followed by a short service at the place of burial in a cemetery or entombment in a mausoleum. Following burial, the Shiva period immediately begins.
Graveside Funeral Service
In this option, the funeral service is held at the place of burial or entombment and there is no funeral service prior to arrival at the place of burial or entombment. This services is typically followed by Shiva.
