Obituary

Sidney Perlman, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, in Boca Raton, FL. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Dr. Adele Maiman Perlman, who passed away on August 20, 2024. Dr. Perlman was the beloved father of four children: Willa Perlman of Boynton Beach, FL; Stephen Perlman and his wife Sandi Dobrowolski of Palo Alto, SF; Michael Perlman and his wife Thao Trinh of Hermosa Beach, CA; and Richard Perlman and his wife Johana Perlman of Pembroke Pines, FL.

Dr. Perlman is also survived by eight grandchildren who loved him very deeply. Jonathan Cohen of New York, NY; Benjamin Cohen of Los Angeles, CA; Emma Perlman of Hermosa Beach, CA; Elle Perlman of Hermosa Beach, CA; Colby Perlman of Palo Alto, CA, and Sasha Perlman of Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Perlman is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Zilversmit of Voorhees, NJ, and his brother, Irving Perlman and his wife, Terrye, of Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Perlman was a revered internist in Hartford, CT who worked initially in private practice and then moved his practice within St. Francis Hospital. He was a dedicated and thoughtful physician who impacte the lives of many families through multiple generations in the Hartford area. May His Memory Be A Blessing.

Memorial Contributions

Memorial contributions may be made to the Solomon Schechter Day School of West Hartford, a school that he was instrumental in founding and for which he served as its first school President.
