Leah Regina Fleisher Obituary

Obituary

Leah Regina Fleisher, of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on November 28, 1927, in Newark, New Jersey, Leah was a graduate of Weequahic High School and later worked as a dedicated bookkeeper for the family-owned business.

Leah was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold Fleisher, with whom she shared 67 devoted years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in family, tradition, and enduring love.

Leah was the adored mother of Nina Finkel, Michael Fleisher (Denise), and Diane Rothman (Richie). She was the cherished grandmother of Louis Finkel (Stacey), Seth Finkel (Shanna), Dori Ehrlich (Michael), Corey Fleisher (Stefanie), Rachel Hopman (Ross), Alyssa Morse (Wes), Alex Rothman (Dana), and Jonathan Rothman. Her legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren: Skylar, Logan, Caleb, Max, Abigail, Falyn, Matthew, Eli, Zach, Ryan, and Callum.

She was the beloved sister of Fran Novick and the late Rosalie Hartstein, and daughter of the late Louis and Dorothy Wachsman.

Leah brought warmth and vitality to all who knew her. She had a zest for life and was fondly referred to as “the godfather” within her family circle. She delighted in reading, playing cards, and mah-jongg, solving crossword puzzles, attending art shows, and cooking and baking for those she loved. Her greatest joy, however, was keeping her family close—her life’s purpose centered on togetherness.
