He then went on to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst to attend college. Jerry was then called to serve his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. When he completed his military service, he returned to U. Mass. to complete his undergraduate degree.

Barbara and Jerry moved to their family home in Grantham, New Hampshire. Several years later Barabara and Jerry moved south to Okeechobee, Fla., and finally to Boca Raton.
Jerry’s passions were his family along with his love of woodworking. Jerry’s toy chests of tools are still being used to this day! (he always had the most organized wood shop in the world). He loved boating, scuba diving & fishing, which led Barbara and Jerry to Florida.
