Allen Prince Obituary

Allen Prince peacefully passed away in his home in Boca Raton, FL with his loving family by his side on July 17th at the age of 83.

Allen was born, married, and raised his family in New York, and for the last fifteen years lived in Boca Raton.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, wife of 62 years, and love of his life, Jewel Prince. Their incredible connection and loving devotion was witnessed by all and could not be diminished even by the destructive force of Alzheimer. Allen lives on in the hearts and memories of his family including his adoring children: Elayne Prince; Debra Katz (Howard); and Laura Eve Prince (Chaz Cardoza); his five treasured grandchildren: Russell Katz, Rachel Katz, Jason Katz, Florian Prince-Cardoza and Marcus Prince-Cardoza; his younger sister, Lynda Becker-Lenza; and Gordon Ditzel who was like family.

Allen was an advisor, confidant, role model, and unwavering source of love for his family, maintaining close meaningful relationships with each of his children and their husbands, and all of his grandchildren.

Allen was a self-made man whose innate sense of business and vision, along with an intense work ethic and strong moral compass, built a legacy for his beloved family. From the floor cleaning and carpet business in the early years to owning and managing his own real estate portfolio, Allen was a disciplined investor who developed thriving properties.

Interment was at Mt Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY July 22, 2024.
