Barry Sperling Obituary

Obituary
Barry Sperling, a Delray Beach, Florida, resident, passed away on July 31, 2026, at age 83.
Born in the Bronx, New York, on February 10, 1943, to the late Samuel and Molly Sperling, Barry lived a life defined by devotion, warmth, and quiet heroism.
Barry spent his career in garment center sales and earned a reputation as a true legend in his industry. Beyond his professional success, he was known for his sharp wit, engaging humor, and vibrant social nature. Whether meeting friends for his daily morning coffee, spending afternoons on the golf course, or going fishing,
Barry cherished every opportunity to connect with others. A selfless presence who always put his family first, he was a man who led by example, teaching those around him the importance of showing up and being there for one another. Above all, Barry was a modern-day superhero, springing into action without hesitation during crises—from assisting car accident victims to saving drowning individuals.
Barry was the loving husband of Sonia Sperling, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. He was the adored father of Allyson Sperling, Lana Sperling, and Joy Sperling. He was the cherished grandfather of Daisy Chaskin, Sam Chaskin, Blake Saferstein, and Brody Saferstein. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Gail Sperling, and is also survived by his niece, Amy Friedman.
