Jo Ann McClosky Levy was born on October 12, 1953, in Fort. Lauderdale, FL to Donald and Judy McClosky.

Jo Ann was the proud older sister of Reed and Gregg McClosky.  

After graduating from Plantation High School in 1971, Jo Ann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Florida.

Jo Ann married Mark Levy on November 13, 1982, and raised three children  – Brian (Whitney) Levy, the late Andrea ‘z”l’ (Adam) Goldman, and Evan (Fallon) Levy. Jo Ann was “Grandma Jo Jo” to Mason, Decker, Bryce, Sunday, Layla, and Rayne.

Jo Ann lived each day to its fullest, never missing an opportunity to turn life’s little moments into joyful family events. She cherished the long-lasting friendships she forged through Pine Crest School, B’nai Torah Congregation, the CF Foundation, weekly canasta games, and her friends in the BLIS stock and book club. Jo Ann is beloved for her cooking (especially her brisket), her perfectly thoughtful gifts, and always having the right words of comfort or advice.

Jo Ann passed away on April 17, 2025, surrounded by her family at the age of 71.

She will forever be remembered for her strength, tireless energy, and her elegance.

May her memory be for a blessing that lives on through the love of her family and friends.
