“You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself” (Leviticus 19:18)
Albert Sopher Obituary
Albert Jerome Sopher was born on March 28, 1926, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the youngest of 5 children. He fought in WWII in the Philippines.
He came back to Baltimore after the war and married the love of his life – our Mom Betty Dubow. They bought a house in the suburbs and raised 2 sons – Ed and Scott. He has 5 granddaughters and now 5 great-grandchildren – 4 boys and a girl.
He worked for the Post Office as a mailman for over 35 years. In addition, he worked a 2nd job, as well, to make ends meet at a collections agency. But the 3rd job he had was his favorite of all – an usher for the Baltimore Orioles. He had that job for 35 years.
Our Mom and Dad moved to Atlanta in 2005 to be closer to their youngest 3 grandchildren. Our Mom passed away in 2008.
Our Dad moved to Boca Raton in 2017 and lived at The Forum in Deer Creek, 1st in independent living, which he loved, and the past 8 months in assisted living. He always said how much Nana would love it down here.
