“You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself” (Leviticus 19:18)

Joan Dubov

Obituary

Joan Beverly Bloom Dubov was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 5, 1932.  Joan grew up in Miami and when she was just 16 years young met David, the love of her life.

She participated in the Orange Bowl’s New Year’s Eve parade and as she came down from her float, David proposed to Joan and they were soon married on Miami Beach in what is now a historic temple.

During their 73 years of loving marriage together, they never left the other’s side. Together, Joan and David grew a successful business, developing housing and commercial real estate throughout South Florida.

Joan joked that she was always pregnant, as they raised their beautiful family of five children, Linda, Stephen, Paul, Terri, and Harvey.  Joan enjoyed with David many Simchas in the company of their nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured life-long friends.

We will with love always remember our mom, grandma, and “GG”, who set an enduring example with her strong will and determination, ever-present fashion style, and great sense of humor.
