“You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself” (Leviticus 19:18)

Bart Weisman

August 8, 2021

Obituary

Bart Weisman passed away August 8, 2021 “Peacefully” with his family by his side.

Bart led a life filled with generosity, which touched the lives of thousands. He and Shirley, his wife of more than 55 years, were incredibly magnanimous donors to the Federation & The Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services, and are recognized as donors at the Prime Minister’s Council level and as members of the Ketubah Society.

Bart had a sincere passion for providing for local seniors, including Holocaust survivors, and ensuring that they had the necessary resources to lead long, fulfilling lives.

Beyond his philanthropy, Bart will be remembered and celebrated for the kindness he shared every time he visited the Shirley and Barton Weisman Delray Community Center. The more than 1,000 elderly residents who enjoy the Center held a special place in Bart’s heart.

His legacy will be carried forward by his family – his loving wife, Shirley; his adored children, Marcia Langley, and Andrew Weisman; and his cherished five beautiful grandchildren
