Sally Ann (Rosenbloom) Belson of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Southfield/Bloomfield Hills, MI, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2020, with her loving family and friends by her side.
Sally is the loving wife of Steven A. Belson of 36 years, adored mother of Jaclyn Elise Belson, Carly Michelle Belson, and Joey (Joe Joe) Belson, beloved sister of Lee Rosenbloom and Nanci Rosenbloom Kahn, cherished daughter of the late Gerald and Joan Constance Rosenbloom of West Bloomfield MI, and the lifelong friend to Janie (Hamburger) Starkman of Commerce Township, MI and Lori (Goldstick) Gottlieb of Newport Coast CA, among others too many to mention.
Sally grew up in Southfield MI, attended Southfield HS, Eastern Michigan Univ., Univ. of Michigan, and Wayne State Univ. earning a Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Social Work degrees. Sally met and married the love of her life Steven Belson of Birmingham MI. They first lived in Boston MA, then moved to South Florida in 1985. Sally worked as a social worker for the Detroit Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, Detroit MI, served as the founding Executive Director and social worker for the women’s shelter Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA), Delray Beach FL, was an interviewer for the Steven Spielberg Shoah Visual History Foundation, Miami FL, and worked as a congressional assistant to U.S. Congressman Robert Wexler, Boca Raton FL.
Sally was a passionate animal lover, had many adoring friends, and was a fabulous and loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She will be forever missed but never forgotten and Sally will live in our hearts and minds for eternity.
